On Thursday, Rajeshwar Singh, who joined the BJP after retiring from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) last month, won the Sarojini Nagar assembly seat in Lucknow by a large margin. Rajeshwar Singh easily defeated Abhishek Mishra, the candidate of the Samajwadi Party, by over 55,000 votes. Singh has probed numerous notable politicians as the Joint Director of the ED, including SP president Akhilesh Yadav and BSP supremo Mayawati.
