Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that his country will apply for NATO membership. Zelensky said that Kyiv has requested NATO for immediate membership. He said that as long as Vladimir Putin is in power, Ukraine will not talk to Russia. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday (September 30) that Kyiv is urging for fast track membership of NATO. Zelensky’s statement regarding NATO membership came after Russia announced the annexation of four parts of Ukraine – Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhia and Kherson.
