New Delhi: Actor Tunisha Sharma allegedly died by suicide on Saturday, and the police has now reportedly recovered a note on the ‘Ali Baba: Dastaan-e-Kabul’ TV set where she was filming the show. On December 24, the 20-year-old television actor was discovered hanging in the restroom.
As per reports, police searched the televison show’s sets. Around 2:00 p.m. on Monday, Waliv police brought the suspect actor Sheezan Khan to the ‘Ali Baba: Dastan-e-Kabul’ set in Naigaon and started an investigation. On the set, a piece of paper was discovered during the search and was addressed to Sheezan.
The police stated that a note written by Tunisha was found, on which Sheezan’s name was written on one side and the words “He Is blessed to have me as a co-actor Woohoo” were written on the other.
Meanwhile, Sheezan Khan’s custody was extended by a Vasai court by two days, and according to reports, he would remain in police custody until December 30. Upon receiving a complaint from Tunisha Sharma’s mother, the Waliv police arrested him.
Shezaan Khan, a co-star and former boyfriend of the actor, has been arrested on suspicion of aiding suicide. He is one of the 22 people whose statements are said to have been recorded by police who are investigating the case. Sheezan was arrested and charged with violating Section 306 of the Indian Penal Code.
According to the police, following Tunisha’s demise, Sheezan also deleted WhatsApp chats with a woman he used to have lengthy phone conversations with. “We will have to question that women too. We have also retrieved the chat that he had deleted,” police said.
After a tea break, the Tunisha Sharma was found hanging in the restroom on the set. She was taken to the hospital by the shooting team where she was declared dead.
