Tunisha Sharma Death Case: Sheezan Khan’s Bail Plea Adjourned Till January 9

New Delhi: The bail plea of actor Sheezan Khan, who has been in judicial custody in abetment to the suicide of TV actress Tunisha Sharma, was adjourned by Vasai court till January 9 on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Sheezan Khan’s lawyer said that he and his family are suffering because of the inefficiency of the police. “Truth and justice shall prevail, we have full faith in Judiciary and I reiterate that Sheezan Mohammad Khan is innocent and he and his family is suffering because of inefficiency of police. They have misused the power of arrest,” he told the Times of India.

Earlier, police had reportedly retrieved Sheezan and his ‘secret girlfriend’s’ chats. It was also revealed that Sheezan used to talk to many other girls. “Many important chats have been found on the mobile of the accused, during the investigation which has revealed that the accused started avoiding Tunisha after the breakup. Tunisha used to message him repeatedly, but the accused avoided her by not replying to her,” ANI report said.

Tunisha Sharma was found dead on December 24 on the set of her show. Her former boyfriend and co-star Sheezan Khan was arrested on abetment to suicide charges and later sent to judicial custody till January 13 after her mother Vanita Sharma filed a complaint against him. They had broken up a fortnight before her death. Since then both Tunisha and Sheezan’s families have levelled allegations against each other.

Sheezan Khan’s sisters Falaq Naaz and Shafaq Naaz and mother Kehkeshan Kaifi had held a press conference claiming his innocence. They had also said that Tunisha’s mother controlled her finances and she often had no money with her.
