The Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) will begin accepting registrations for the Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test 2024 (TS EdCET) today, March 6. In the academic year 2024–2025, the entrance exam for the 2 year Bachelor of Education (BEd) programme will be administered by Mahatma Gandhi University in Nalgonda.
Candidates interested in taking the TS EdCET 2024 exam should apply online at edcetadm.tsche.ac.in. The deadline to register and submit the TS EdCET 2024 online application form without paying a late fee is May 6, according to the official dates announced.
If candidates do not complete the TS EdCET 2024 application by May 6, they may do so by paying a late fee of Rs 250. The exam date for the TS EdCET 2024 is set for May 23 and will be administered in two shifts. Exams for shifts one and two will take place from 10 am to 12 pm and 2 pm to 4 pm, respectively.
TS EdCET 2024: Eligibility criteria
Age limit:
Applicants must attain a minimum age of 19 years as of July 1 in the year of the notification’s publication to be eligible. Notably, there is no upper age limit specified for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
Education qualifications:
Candidates applying must hold a bachelor’s degree in fields such as BA, BCom, BSc, BCA, BBM, BBA, or a bachelor’s degree in engineering and technology to be considered eligible. Alternatively, candidates with a master’s degree are also allowed to apply, provided they have attained at least 50 per cent marks in their respective degrees. It is important to note that the minimum passing percentage for candidates belonging to the SC, ST, and OBC categories is 40 per cent marks
TS EdCET 2024: STEPS TO APPLY
Step 1: Visit edcet.tsche.ac.in, the official website.
Step 2: Locate and select the “TS EdCET 2024 Application Form” option from the homepage.
Step 3: Complete the application form with all the requested information and pay the application fee.
Step 4: Review all the information filled out in the form and submit it.
Step 5: Save a copy of the TS EdCET 2024 application form for future reference by downloading it.
TS EdCET 2024: Application Fee
To register for the TS EdCET 2024, candidates from the unreserved and OBC categories must pay an application fee of Rs 750. However, the application fee is Rs 550 for those who come under the scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, or person with disability (PwD) categories.
