Trinamool wants to keep CPM alive to share Hindu vote: Sukant Majumder

BJP state president Sukant Majumder claimed that the Trinamool was trying to keep the CPM alive in the state to divide the Hindu vote. “Long live the new call of the grassroots, hammer and sickle,” he said at the National Library in Kolkata on Saturday. CPM leader Sujan Chakraborty scoffed at Sukant Babu’s remarks.

In today’s meeting, Sukant Babu said, “Our opponents used to say that there is a grassroots gut-up with us.” Friends of the CPM used to say that we have reached an agreement with the grassroots. And today we can see that the CPM is being given two out of eight if the grassroots are to be given the upper hand. Now the fish-fry alliance has been formed. New slogans have now been created within the grassroots. The new call of the grassroots, stay with the hammer and sickle ‘.

On the contrary, Sujanbabu said, ‘It is nonsense. Sukantbabu is not updated. The BJP had an alliance with the Trinamool. The BJP was in government with the Trinamool. The BJP has won in this state for the first time with the support of the Trinamool.

Let me tell you, the BJP’s vote bank has collapsed in the just-concluded polls. The BJP and the CPM-2 got a little more than 13 percent of the votes in the pre-poll. After which grassroots leaders were also heard expressing satisfaction over the rise of CPM.
