Trinamool president beaten up in Jangipur

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced early voting in other municipalities in the state. Meanwhile, the Trinamool factionalism came to the fore again in Jangipur municipality. Jangipur city Trinamool president Firoz Sheikh has been accused of beating the people of the municipality administrator Mozaharul Islam. It is to be mentioned that Mozharul’s conflict with the MLA of the area Zakir Hossain is very old. A few days ago, local MLA Zakir Hossain’s conflict with the city administrator came to light. In the meanwhile, the Trinamool has become a little uneasy as sectarian conflict has come to light again.

According to Trinamool sources, the incident started with the construction of a sewer in ward number seven. Feroze went to see the work of making sewers. At that time he started arguing with the contractor. It is alleged that Mozharul Islam’s men went to the spot and attacked Firoz. He was thrown on the street and beaten severely. He was attacked with bamboo, sticks, iron rods etc. The locals rushed him to the hospital in critical condition.

Local MLA Zakir Hossain went to see him at the hospital. Zakir Hossain’s followers then blocked the road and even surrounded the police station in protest.

Although Mozharul Islam is a grassroots activist, Zakir Hossain has alleged that he works for the CPM. He complained, ‘My town president only went to see how things were going, and he was beaten severely. The city administrator works for the CPM. At the same time, he warned, “If anyone touches the Chief Minister’s staff, his hand will be burnt.”

However, Mozaharul has denied the allegations. He said, ‘I can’t say whether the Trinamool president has been beaten. But everyone here is grassroots. Who else but the grassroots? ‘

A complaint has been lodged with the police station in this regard. Police are investigating on its basis. Besides, a large number of police have been deployed in the area.
