A major accident was averted on Monday on the Kalka Shimla heritage track. A train derailed at Kandaghat in Solan. Thankfully there was no casualty in this accident.

It is being told that a train from Kalka was coming towards Shimla. Due to this, water is supplied every day to all the stations from Kalka to Shimla. This was the reason that only railway employees were in this question.

Train derailed in Kandaghat

The accident happened after a cow came in front of him on the track in Kandaghat. As a result, a coach of the train derailed. After the de-rail, the movement of trains on the heritage railway track

got interrupted. Railway personnel from Ambala, Kalka and Shimla reached the spot and efforts are on to bring the D-Rail train back on track but due to lack of complete equipment, difficulties are being faced in bringing the train back on track. According to railway officials, the relief train from Kalka has started for Kandaghat. After this the railway train can be brought back on track.
