iPhone 15 Series Launching Soon, Apple Sends Invites

It’s that time of the year! Apple on Tuesday sent invites for the iPhone 15 series launch. Apple’s big launch is set to take place on September 12 at 10am PT or 10:30pm IST. Apple’s invite for the September event reads: “Wonderlust” which would be hosted at Apple Park in California. The media invite has the Apple logo in several colours, including black, blue and grey that cryptically point to the colour variants the company may introduce the iPhone 15 Pro in. The new iPhone 15 lineup and Apple Watches are expected to be unveiled at the event.

Twitter’s Rebranding To X Caused Decline In Active Users

X, formerly Twitter, underwent a number of changes after being acquired by tech billionaire and SpaceX founder Elon Musk last year. The latest one was renaming the micro-blogging platform from Twitter to X and changing the “iconic” bird logo in favour of an “X” logo. The platform witnessed not a decrease in the number of downloads but saw a decline in weekly active users too, the media has reported. There was a four per cent decline in X’s weekly active users in the weeks that followed the rebranding of Twitter, says a report by TechCrunch that quoted data from SensorTower.

Proxgy, Homegrown IoT Company’s Kadi Smartwatch For Vendors

Homegrown IoT solutions start-up Proxgy has unveiled a Unified Payments Interface (UPI) smartwatch that it calls ‘Kadi’ in India. The UPI watch has been launched for street hawkers and vendors, who don’t have access to smartphones or charging points to use UPI apps or UPI payment receipt alert soundboxes. Kadi UPI smartwatch has been priced under Rs 1,000 and features a single-touch QR display with merchant-defined payment gateway selection, thus, enabling merchants to use one-touch different VPA QR codes on the same watch based on payment gateway offers and schemes.

Taiwanese major Asus has said that its ZenFone series is not being discontinued. The brand said that it is committed to making more devices under the ZenFone lineup in the future. This comes after several reports that Asus is pulling the plug on the ZenFone lineup of smartphones.

Samsung Galaxy S23 FE May Launch Soon

The launch of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, the next iteration in the Samsung Galaxy S Fan Edition (FE) series may be around as the device has been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG website. The successor to Galaxy S21 FE which was quietly unveiled in India in July, is a step closer to launch that may take place in September. According to a report by GSMArena, Bluetooth SIG has certified six Samsung Galaxy S23 FE models that bear codes SM-S711B, SM-S711B_DS, SM-S7110, SM-S711U, SM-S711U1 and SM-S711W. Another report suggests that the support page for the Galaxy S23 FE has gone live on the Samsung Kazakhstan website.
