Apple iPhone 16 Pro Models May Get 2 New Colours

With excitement mounting for Apple’s forthcoming iPhone 16 lineup, set to launch later this fall, the rumour mill is abuzz. The latest leak, about the possible colour choices for the four models: iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max suggests that Apple may introduce two new colours. With regards to Apple’s iPhone Pro models, known for their elegant and refined designs, reports are suggesting potential changes to the existing colour options. For instance, it’s said that Blue Titanium might be replaced by a captivating new “rose” titanium hue, while Black Titanium could be succeeded by a striking “space black” variant.

HMD Introduces Iconic Nokia 3210

Renowned for reviving classic Nokia phones, handset maker Human Mobile Devices (HMD) is reintroducing the iconic Nokia 3210. Dubbed as a device for digital detox, the latest rendition of the Nokia 3210 is 4G-capable, running on an enhanced version of the S30+ platform. It will feature a handful of fundamental cloud applications such as YouTube Shorts, news, weather, and an upgraded version of the iconic snake game.

Pixel 8a Can Be Located Using Find My Device Even When Switched Off

Last month, Google unveiled its new Find My Device network, a handy tool allowing Android users to locate their lost devices. Currently, it’s accessible only in the US and Canada, but Google plans to extend its availability to other markets shortly. An exclusive feature for the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro enables Find My Device functionality even when the devices are turned off or have no battery power. Now, reports suggest this feature is also available on the newly launched Google Pixel 8a.

Apple Dominates Premium Segment As India Smartphone Market Grows

India witnessed a notable increase in smartphone shipments in the first quarter (Q1) of 2024, with a volume growth of eight per cent year-on-year (YoY) and a value growth of 18 per cent, according to a new report. As per Counterpoint’s Monthly India Smartphone Tracker, the increase in volume primarily came from healthy inventory levels and the low base of Q1 2023.

Circle to Search, Google’s latest visual search feature initially launched on the Samsung Galaxy S24 series and Google Pixel 8 series earlier this year, has gradually expanded to several other smartphones in recent months. Now, Apple iPhone users can also access a version of the Circle to Search feature through the Google app for iOS and an Apple Shortcut. However, unlike its Android counterpart, the iOS Shortcut for Circle to Search comes with certain limitations and depends on Google Lens.
