TNPSC Group 4 Recruitment 2024: Application Begins for 6,244 Vacancies, Exam on June 9 – News18

The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) has initiated the application process for the Group 4 recruitment, offering a total of 6,244 vacancies across various state government departments. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online until February 28, 11:59 pm, through the official website, tnpsc.gov.in.

An application correction window will be open from March 4 to March 6 for candidates who may need to make corrections to their applications. The recruitment examination is scheduled to take place on June 9, with the exam duration set from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.

TNPSC Group 4 Recruitment 2024: Age Limit

Candidates applying for various posts under the TNPSC Group 4 recruitment must meet specific age criteria. Generally, individuals should have reached the age of 18 but not have exceeded 32 years as of July 1, 2024, for all positions, except for Village Administrative Officer, Forest Guard, Forest Guard with Driving Licence, Forest Watcher, and Forest Watcher (Tribal Youth). For these specific roles, candidates are required to be between 21 and 32 years old as of July 1, 2024. It’s important to note that there is an upper age limit relaxation granted to candidates belonging to reserved categories.

TNPSC Group 4 Recruitment 2024: How to Apply

The application process includes the initial step of registering on the One Time Registration (OTR) platform, accessible on the Commission’s website. Following successful registration, candidates can then proceed to complete the online application for the exam. In cases where a candidate has previously registered, they can directly proceed to fill out the online application for the upcoming examination without the need for repeated registration.

Step 1: Go to the official website of the TNPSC.

Step 2: Click on the “New User” tab to start the registration process.

Step 3: Provide all necessary personal details such as name, date of birth, mobile number, and email address.

Step 4: After submitting, candidates will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number and email ID.

Step 5: Complete the registration process by entering the received OTP in the space provided. Following this, the application form will appear on the screen.

Step 6: Fill in the required education details and upload essential documents, including a photograph and signature.

Step 7: Pay the TNPSC Group 4 application fee and submit the form. Don’t forget to download a copy for future reference.

TNPSC Group 4 Recruitment 2024: Exam Pattern

The examination will feature a single paper, with questions based on the SSLC or Class 10 standard. The paper is divided into two sections: Part A, known as the Tamil Eligibility-cum Scoring Test, will include 100 questions, each contributing to a total of 150 marks. Meanwhile, Part B encompasses General Studies (75 questions) and an Aptitude and Mental Ability Test (25 questions), collectively amounting to 150 marks.
