Many ticket seekers from Congress and BJP are fighting political lines with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). According to party sources, more than a dozen veterans are in touch with AAP’s national convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Himachal in-charge Satendra Jain. Similarly, AAP leaders themselves are also contacting some influential leaders.

On the other hand, AAP leaders claim that tickets are not being promised to any leader joining the party. The allotment of tickets will be done on the basis of survey later. Right now only all the leaders and common workers are being given membership of AAP.

This name of Dhumal faction is in discussion

Sources reveal that more BJP members of Dhumal faction can join AAP. The names of Khimiram, who was a minister in the former Dhumal government, Govind Ram Sharma, former MLA from Arki, Chetan Bragata, son of late Narendra Bragata, former minister from Jubbal Kotkhai, veteran leader Ranveer Nikka from Nurpur, etc. are in discussion. In the event of not getting BJP ticket from Theog, AAP’s option will also be open to Indu Verma, wife of late Rakesh Verma, former MLA of Dhumal faction.

The name of the big leader of Kullu is also in discussion.

Maheshwar Singh and his son Hiteshwar Singh, who have been marginalized from Kullu for a long time, are also in talks to join AAP, because earlier for the Zilla Parishad elections, Maheshwar Singh’s daughter-in-law was being demanded from the BJP, but the party refused. His daughter-in-law was not given a ticket and won the election as an independent. After this, Maheshwar Singh was not given ticket for the by-election of MP from Mandi parliamentary seat. Recently there were discussions about sending him to Rajya Sabha, but here too Maheshwar Singh has been neglected. That’s why there are a lot of discussions about him joining AAP. AAP leaders are also making every effort to add Anil Sharma, who was a minister in the Jairam government from Mandi, in the party. A big face of Jairam’s cabinet is also ready to join AAP, but there is a demand for the minister to be declared the face of CM. Some Congress leaders have already joined AAP, but on April 6 or during elections, many more leaders may join AAP if they are not given tickets from Congress-BJP.

There is competition to join AAP: Gaurav

AAP’s state spokesperson Gaurav said that Congress-BJP leaders are competing to join the party, but tickets are not being promised to anyone. Veteran leaders are directly contacting Arvind Kejriwal. A large number of leaders will join the broom in the road show going to be held in Mandi on 6th April.
