Here’s a throwback story about King Khan that we’re sure you’ll be interested to know about:
Back in 1998, Khan revealed in an interview that there was a moment in his life where he was scared that Gauri would die in a hospital. This incident took place while Gauri was hospitalised giving birth to their first child, Aryan Khan.
In an interview given to Reddif in 1988, Shah Rukh Khan had revealed, “I’ve lost my parents in hospitals — so I don’t like being in hospitals. And Gauri is quite fragile — and I’ve never seen her fall really sick, or seen her unwell. When I saw her in the hospital, they had put in tubes and stuff. And she was becoming delirious and she was really cold. I went with her to the operation theatre for her Caesarean… And I thought she’d die. Didn’t even think about the kid at that point in time. It wasn’t important to me.”
Aryan Khan was born on 13th November 1997.

He further told Reddif, “She was shivering so much and I know logically that you don’t die while giving birth to babies… But still…. I just got a little scared.”
Bollywood’s superstar Shah Rukh Khan fell in love with Gauri during his college days at the Delhi University. Shah Rukh proposed to Gauri in his college premises. The students of the college still celebrate his legacy by naming the very spot where he proposed to his lady as the ‘Lovers’ Point’.
