This time, the Kolkata police took Roddur Roy into custody for saying bad things to Modi-Shah

Kolkata police have used an old case to block the bail of controversial speaker Roddur Roy. A new case has been filed at Baratala police station. As a result, his bail was rejected by the Bankshal court on Tuesday.

Roddur Roy was arrested on the basis of an FIR filed at the Hair Street Police Station for allegedly slandering the Chief Minister. Kolkata police arrested him from Goa. The judge ordered that Bankshal be kept in police custody till Tuesday if he is produced in court. At the end of that period, the police wanted to take Roddur Roy into custody on the basis of a case filed in 2020 by presenting him in the court.

In the case filed at Baratala police station in 2020, it was alleged that Roddur Roy had insulted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah on social media. Following the application, the judge of Bankshal court directed to keep the accused in police custody till June 20.
