Born into an underprivileged family, Shivesh Kumar discovered his passion for music at an early age. To support his education, he took to singing at various events, from stage performances to Bhakti Jagrans, and thus began his journey as a young breadwinner for his family. During his post-graduation studies at Tilka Manjhi University in Bhagalpur, Shivesh Kumar exhibited his dynamism and consistently excelled in his music-related subjects.
