Pandit Madan Mohan became a member of Lala Lajpat Rai’s Nationalist Party and was elected a member of the Central Assembly in 1926. Became a member of the Central Assembly in 1946 as a Congress member. Even after this he became a Member of Parliament in United Punjab. He was a member of the Indian Constituent Assembly. Thakur Das Bhargava participated in the movement against cow slaughter. He also wrote two books on cow slaughter.
