- South Eastern Railway Zonal Rail Official Language Implementation Committee meeting concluded
Kolkata. The second meeting of the South Eastern Railway Zonal Rail Official Language Implementation Committee for the year 2022 was held on Monday, 23.05.2022 under the chairmanship of Ms. Archana Joshi, General Manager, South Eastern Railway. In the meeting, Additional General Manager, Principal Department Head of all departments and Additional Divisional Railway Manager and Chief Factory Manager (Kharagpur) of all divisions attended the meeting through virtual medium.
Isaac Khan, Chief Official Language Officer and Principal Chief Electrical Engineer started the program by welcoming everyone. The Chief Official Language Officer said that maximum use of Google Translate should be done for small translation related work. In the meeting, the question-answer related to Hindi incentive and award scheme was released by the General Manager.
The meeting was conducted by PC Dang, Deputy General Manager (Official Language). In the meeting, the official language works being done on South Eastern Railway were reviewed. The General Manager, in his address, said that the use of official language in South Eastern Railway is being appreciated appreciably. He directed to issue orders personally to train the remaining officers/employees for Hindi training and work in Hindi. Apart from this, he gave some important suggestions for the use and spread of the official language, which will be implemented.
In the meeting, a presentation was made by the Electricity Department on the topic “Electrical Risk and Awareness”, which was appreciated by the General Manager. A quiz based on Hindi idioms was organized on this occasion, in which the officials enthusiastically participated. In the end the proceedings of the meeting were concluded after the vote of thanks by Premchand Dang, Deputy General Manager (Official Language).
