The teenager died after getting electrocuted in Rajabazar

Another boy died in Calcutta after being electrocuted by a lighthouse. A boy named Faizan died in Narkeldanga on Saturday afternoon. The incident raises questions about the maintenance of lighthouses in the city again. Mayor Firhad Hakim has apologized for the incident.

Locals said it was raining at Rajabazar in Narkeldanga police station area at that time. The 13-year-old was playing then. At 6.15 pm, he touched a Veda lighthouse on the side of the road. He was electrocuted and died on the spot. CESC staff then came and turned off all the lighthouses in the area.
