The state government is giving a lot of land to Adani in New Town, the decision was taken at the cabinet meeting

The state government is giving 51.8 acres of land to Adani group in New Town. The decision was taken at a state cabinet meeting on Monday, Parliamentary Minister Perth Chatterjee said. Parthababu said the land would be given to a company owned by the Adani Group in the Bengal Silicon Valley in New Town. They will build a huge data center on this land.

Parthababu said that Bengal Tech Park, a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Group, had proposed to set up a data center in Bengal Silicon Valley. On the basis of that request, the state cabinet meeting on Monday decided to give 51.6 acres of land in Bengal Silicon Valley to Bengal Tech Park on a 99-year lease. Adani Group will build a huge data center here. As a result, there will be a lot of employment opportunities.

The foundation stone of Bengal Silicon Valley was laid by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in 2019. But not a single brick has been laid there since then. The banner hoardings with the picture of the Chief Minister have fallen down. The BJP has been repeatedly heard mocking the state government over this. In the end, everyone is looking at whether the stigma will go away or not.
