The price of kerosene has gone up by Rs 15 in one fell swoop

In addition to kerosene, the price of auto LPG also went up. There the price has gone up to Rs 9 per liter. In the time of Narendra Modi, the price of these two fuels has gone up at such a high rate.

How much is the price of kerosene? ‌ This increase in price will affect the lower and middle class. There are about 9 crore ration customers in the state now. Residents of Kolkata and Salt Lake will now have to buy kerosene at Rs 69.72 per liter. In March, the price of this kerosene was 84 rupees 24 paise. The situation is such that the state-owned oil companies are pushing up the price of fuel oil. Last month, the price of kerosene also increased around 7 rupees.

According to official sources, the price per liter increased by around Tk 7 in the middle of 2020. That was the record increase so far. This time the price of kerosene has gone up by 15 rupees and 36 paise per liter. Subsidies on kerosene have been discontinued in the central budget since FY 2021–22.

Ashok Gupta, general secretary of the West Bengal Kerosene Dealers Association, said: The way the price has been increased, it will not be possible for the poor people to buy kerosene in rations any more. ‘ According to the announcement of Indian Oil, now its price is 74 rupees 72 paise. A month ago, the price was 75 rupees 71 paise per liter.
