After Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh, now the film ‘The Kerala Story’ has been made tax free in Haryana as well. Chief Minister Manohar Lal has announced this by tweeting. The CM has taken this decision after discussing this film in the cabinet meeting.
After the announcement of the Chief Minister, the Excise and Taxation Department has also issued its order, in which information has been given by sending it to all the Deputy Excise and Taxation Commissioners of the state.
Decision taken after the report of the committee
Before making the film ‘The Kerala Story’ tax free in Haryana, the Chief Minister constituted the committee. Chief Minister Manohar Lal himself had shared this information. He had said that now the committee is looking into it. A decision will be taken on this only after the decision of the committee. Late in the night the CM announced to make the film tax free.
Vij has given a sharp reaction
Earlier, Home and Health Minister Anil Vij had given his reaction on this film. On banning the film in West Bengal, Vij had said that Mamta Banerjee does not like the truth. She wants to hide the truth. Banning the film is an attack on freedom of expression. On the question of receiving threats to the film director, the Home Minister said that such people are the ones who reveal the truth. They cannot be intimidated or threatened.
Appeal to watch Dhankhar’s film
Haryana BJP State President Om Prakash Dhankhar has seen the movie ‘The Kerala Story’ along with all the three General Secretaries of the state, Advocate Vedpal, Mohanlal Badoli and Pawan Saini. Giving his response, he said that it is a film based on true incidents that shocks human sensibilities.
The issue of love jihad has also been raised in the film. He said that this film is based on truth, its purpose is to show how innocent girls are tricked into love jihad and converted to religion.
