The Hundred 2022: England football skipper Harry Kane lights up Lord’s with his batting, meets Eoin Morgan, Jos Buttler

Harry Kane is known for his skills at football, as he is the captain of the England team at the highest level. Playing at the Wembley Stadium, the 29-year-old is currently the bedrock of his football. On Monday, Kane made his presence felt, this time at a cricket ground, at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground.

Kane was present at the Home of Cricket during the match between London Spirit and Manchester Originals in the second edition of the Hundred. During this while, Kane showed that apart from wielding magic with the football, he can long use the long handle to good effect in cricket.

“Should we get into the competition? Are you more nervous about this or leading the side out at Wembley?” the presenter asked Kane, who was getting ready with pads and gloves.

“I am more nervous about it to be honest,” Kane replied. Meanwhile, former England skipper Nasser Hussain looked on with hands on his waist.

Thereafter, Kane peppered the leg side boundary and showed that he is no mug with the bat. He pulled the cricket ball with sheer precision. He looked like a proper batter as he kept middling the balls.

Later, Kane also caught up with former England cricket skipper Eoin Morgan and the swashbuckling Jos Buttler.

Kane also posted a video where he said that walking out at the Lord’s was one of his dreams.

“It’s a great format, especially for the younger generation, bringing them into the game. Looking forward to seeing it,” Kane said.

“It’s one of our dreams, walking out. About to smash some sixes out of the park,” he said.

As far as the match was concerned, the Spirit, led by Morgan, defeated the Originals, captained by Buttler, by 52 runs.
