The firm which was banned by Chakradharpur division, preparing to tender in Tatanagar only – Rail Hunt

  • 1.88 crore for cleaning work in electric loco shed Tender finalization process

Chakradharpur. After investigating various allegations, the Railway Administration has debarred (banned) Bilaspur-based firm M/s Ganesh Prasad Singh for two years for irregularities in the work. In a letter issued from the office of Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer of Chakradharpur Railway Division, the firm has been banned from taking any kind of contract for two years. The letter banning the firm Ganesh Prasad Singh for two years was issued on 09 May 2022. This restriction has been imposed till 11.04.2024.

On the other hand, preparations are also underway to award the contract for cleaning work in Tatanagar to the same firm. According to the information, a tender worth Rs 1.88 crore has been floated in the Tatanagar Electric Loco Shed of Chakradharpar Division, which has done cleaning work for two years. It is said that the process of finalizing the tender is in the final stage. The Bilaspur based firm M/s Ganesh Prasad Singh, who was debarred in the financial bid of this tender, has come under L-One category.

According to the arrangement of the Railways, the order to make an agreement is issued in the name of the firm which is listed in L1 in the tender. In such a situation, the question is floating in the railway department that how the tender is being given in Tatanagar to the firm which has been debarred for two years in the division? The story of the tender being given to this firm is also floating in the railway department itself. It is being told that the officials of the concerned department are interpreting the rules in their own way and making way for this firm so that it can be given tender on the basis of L-1.

The basis for this is being made that the tender has already been opened before the date of debarring this firm in which the firm L-1 of Bilaspur has been. Now it is interesting here that the agency which has been banned for two years for negligence in cleaning work in Chakradharpur division can be given the tender for cleaning work at another station for the next two years? If this happens then what will be the meaning of debard (ban). However, railway officials are also churning about this topic.

Can the agency which has been banned for two years for negligence in cleaning work in Chakradharpur division, can be given tender for cleaning work at another station for the next two years? If this happens then what will be the meaning of debard (ban).

#srdeetrstata Sr. DEE/TRS/Tata has to take the final decision on this tender for cleaning work in Tatanagar Electric Loco Shed. It is said that earlier also a similar situation has arisen in Chakradharpur division in which the agreement with the banned firm has been cancelled. It has to be mentioned here that three firms had participated in this tender. In this, the firm of L-1 Bilaspur has been M/s Ganesh Prasad Singh. While L-2 is owned by Diwakar Sharma and Pawan Sharma. Right now only Pawan Sharma’s firm is doing the cleaning work.
