The bus entered the trailer on Sohagi hill late on Friday night. 15 passengers died in the accident, while more than 35 passengers were injured. The bus was overloaded. Passengers were evacuated by bus. Someone’s body was cut out from below, then many people were taken out through the roof. Legs of many dead bodies were missing. The police had to cut the bus with the help of JCB, crane and cutter to get the body out. Some of these passengers also had to cut their hands and feet. The hands of some passengers were blown off, while others were blown off their heads. Clothes are missing from someone’s body, so many sleeping people could not get up again.

The path of Sohagi hill is like a zig-zag. There are no signs on the road. There is too much slope. Due to this the vehicles become uncontrollable. There have been many accidents here in the past as well.

Sleeper seaters alive, no front seaters left
On seeing the bus, it was found that the passengers sitting on top of the sleeper seat and the rear passengers were injured, while all the people sitting in the front part were killed. The accident was so horrific that 15 passengers died on the spot. All were trapped in the cabin and sank in the ballast. Several passengers sitting down were also hit. The condition of some still remains critical.

RTO broker took 13 thousand before the accident
RTI activist Shivanand Dwivedi alleged that before the accident, the RTO checked the bus on the way through a broker. 13 thousand rupees were also recovered on getting overloaded. After that the bus started moving. It is learned that 20 to 25 passengers were traveling in the bus more than the permit.

The bus was going from Hyderabad to Gorakhpur. The bus collided with the trailer while descending on the Sohagi hill. The people present here informed the police about the accident.

Eyewitness Shiva Shukla told, I was returning from Sagar district in my car at night. I parked the car at the place of accident. The bus left right next to the car. After a short distance, a loud bang was heard. There was a very loud sound. Soon, screams were heard from inside the bus. I immediately called one of my acquaintances. He himself informed the police about the accident.

Police reached the spot after about an hour. Even before the arrival of the police, the people trapped in the bus were being rescued with the help of local people. After the police arrived, the blood-soaked people were pulled out one by one. There was no movement among the people sitting in the driver’s cabin in the bus. It was dark all around.

The front part of the bus suffered major damage, resulting in the death of those in the front seats. The injured people sitting behind were taken to the hospital by the local people.
