Thane Road Rage: Tata Harrier Rams Fortuner Twice, Child Screams, Bystander Dragged Metres

In a shocking road rage incident in Maharashtra’s Thane, a Tata Harrier SUV was seen ramming into a Toyota Fortuner multiple times, leading to several injuries, including two motorcyclists. The violent confrontation, reportedly stemming from a family dispute, took place on the Ambernath-Badlapur Road near S3 Park Hotel on Tuesday evening.

The disturbing video, which has since gone viral, shows a child seated in the backseat of the Fortuner screaming in terror as the black Harrier SUV, after hitting the white Fortuner from behind, took a U-turn and rammed into the vehicle again from the front, trapping the driver under the car. The driver of the targeted vehicle, who was seriously injured, was rushed to a private hospital for treatment, as reported by Lokmat Times. 

As per the Lokmat Times, the accused allegedly targeted his brother’s car carrying family members, including children and women. 

Adding to the chaos, a pedestrian standing on the road was also struck by the Harrier and dragged for several metres.

The Thane police, responding to a post on social media platform X, stated, “Thank you for contacting Thane City Police. Your information has been conveyed to the Senior Police Inspector, Ambernath Police Station, for necessary action.”

SUV Runs Over Man Sleeping On Mumbai Beach, 2 Arrested

In another incident in Mumbai, a 36-year-old rickshaw driver named Ganesh Yadav was tragically killed after being run over by a white SUV while sleeping on Versova Beach. The incident occurred in the early hours of August 12, when Yadav and his friend, Bablu Srivastava, had decided to sleep on the beach to escape the extreme heat. Despite restrictions on vehicles accessing the beach, the SUV managed to reach the area through nearby slums, news agency IANS reported.

Bablu, who narrowly escaped the accident, was awakened by the noise of screeching brakes and people screaming. To his horror, he witnessed the SUV running over his friend Ganesh. The vehicle’s occupants, identified as Nikhil Jawale (34) and Shubham Dongre (33), attempted to check on Yadav before fleeing the scene when he did not respond, IANS reported.

The police arrested both suspects within hours and charged them with culpable homicide.
