Terrorist absconding from Amritsar hospital: Ashish Masih was caught in Gurdaspur grenade case, ran through toilet in Mental Hospital

Terrorist Ashish Masih escaped from Mental Hospital in Punjab’s Amritsar on Saturday by dodging the police. He was caught 9 months ago in connection with RDX and hand grenade found in Dina Nagar of Gurdaspur. The police have started searching for him.

According to the information, Ashish was lodged in Gurdaspur jail. On August 28, he had reached the Mental Hospital in Amritsar for treatment after saying that he was mentally disturbed. Three jail personnel were also put on duty with him, but around 2:30 pm on Saturday, Masih managed to escape by pretending to be a toilet to the policemen. Amritsar’s Majitha Road police station has registered a case against the accused and started his search.

Treason cases are registered

Gurdaspur police say that Ashish is a vicious criminal. A total of 8 cases are registered against him in the police stations of Gurdaspur and Nawan city. Cases have also been registered under the Explosives Act. Its name also came up in the RDX and hand grenade case found in Dina Nagar. Amritsar Police has started trying to trace him through CCTV cameras installed in and around the area.
