DCP Joy N Tirkey of Delhi North-East said that the Religious Affairs Committee of Delhi had decided to remove a Hanuman temple and a tomb in Bhajanpura area. So that the road of Saharanpur Highway can be widened. Both the religious places were removed peacefully with the cooperation of the local people.

SDM said – 15 days notice was given
Seelampur SDM Sharat Kumar told that there was a Hanuman temple at Bhajanpura Chowk and a tomb between the road. It was on PWD road. To remove these, 15 days’ notice was given to the people concerned, which ended on 15 May. After this, PWD removed both the religious places by running a campaign.
