A teacher thrashed a class IV student in Karnataka’s Gadag district, then pushed him off the balcony of the first floor of the school. Due to this the student died. Police have registered a case against the teacher on the complaint of the child’s family. Presently the accused teacher is absconding.

Senior SP Shivprakash Devaraju of Gadak district told that the matter pertains to Adarsh Primary School of Hagli village. The accused was a contract teacher. His name is Muthappa. The name of the deceased student was Bharat. He was 10 years old.

According to the police, the accused teacher had also beaten up the mother of student Bharat, who is also a teacher in the school. He is currently undergoing treatment at a local hospital. The police is trying to find out the reason for the beating.

The teacher of this government school in Delhi’s Rani Jhansi Road threw the girl from the first floor.
Earlier, such a case had also come to the fore in Delhi. A Class V student of a Municipal Corporation of Delhi school was allegedly attacked with scissors by a teacher and then thrown from the first floor of the school building, leaving her with a fractured facial bone.
According to the police, the teacher locked herself inside a classroom along with the students and “violently” threw water bottles at the girl student until she was overpowered.
