Music sensation Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour concert’s film version has already crossed USD 100 million in advance bookings.
Taylor Swift recently announced that the film version of her famous Eras Tour will be released in theatres on October 13. The Eras Tour is a record-breaking milestone in Taylor’s career. It is touted as one of the biggest musical concerts in history. Now, after the concert, it is the film that is making headlines as the advanced ticket sales have crossed USD 100 million globally.
Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Concert Film will showcase the highlights and behind-the-scenes moments from Taylor’s biggest concert ever. The film will be screened in nearly 8,500 theatres across 100 countries. The global premiere is scheduled for October 13.
When the film’s release date in the US was announced, the advanced ticket sales reached USD 6 million in one day across North America. This marked the highest-ever single-day booking collection in AMC Theatre’s 103-year history.
Earlier, the film was only scheduled for a release in the US. However, owing to the superstardom of the singer globally, Taylor later announced, “The tour isn’t the only thing we’re taking worldwide…….. Been so excited to tell you all that The Eras Tour concert film is now officially coming to theatres WORLDWIDE on Oct 13!”
The film version is directed by Sam Wrench, who has also directed the film versions of concerts of popular musicians like Brandi Carlile, Billie Eilish, Lizzo and K-Pop sensation BTS.
Meanwhile, Taylor’s Eras Tour has been extended till November 2024. The grand tour celebrates all of Taylor’s albums aka her eras. These are: Lover, Folklore, Evermore, Fearless (Taylor’s version), Red (Taylor’s version), Midnights, Speak Now (Taylor’s version), 1989 (Taylor’s version) Taylor Swift and Reputation.
