A tragic accident took place in Mainaguri of Jalpaiguri. While cleaning Tagore’s house, the snake put a broom on his hand. And with that, the second grader fell to her death. This morning the incident happened in the area adjacent to Varnish Bazar in Mainaguri block. The dead student’s name is Nandita Konger. The family rushed him to the hospital but the doctors could not save him. The child died there.
According to family sources, they have mud floor houses. That child used to get up every morning and clean Tagore’s house. This morning too, the child was painting Tagore’s house as usual. At that time, suddenly a snake came out of a rat hole inside the house and placed the snake in his hand. Then the child started screaming. Hearing his screams, the family members rushed there. Then they got scared when they saw the snake. Realize that danger has occurred. After that, the family members quickly took the child to Mainaguri Rural Hospital. Doctors there declared him dead.
Amrit Narayan Kongar, father of the dead child, said, ‘I was not at home at the time of the incident. When I came home, I found out that there was danger. When taken to the hospital, the doctors declared him dead. It should be noted that the emergence of snakes has increased in different parts of the state as the summer heats up. Many people have died from snake bites in many places. In several cases, it has been seen that snakebite patients are taken to Ojha instead of being taken to the hospital. As a result of which many people who were bitten by snakes died without receiving treatment.
