In a surprising gesture for her daughter, Sushmita Sen took Alisah on a short trip to Switzerland.
Hands down, Sushmita Sen has always been a doting mother to her daughters, Renee and Alisah. The actress openly expresses her affection for her girls, often showcasing it on social media platforms. In her recent Instagram update, Sushmita shared a heartwarming gesture she planned for her younger daughter, Alisah. Posting glimpses of their brief retreat to Switzerland, she revealed that it was a spontaneous weekend getaway, specially arranged for Alisah as a delightful surprise from her routine at boarding school.
The video shows the Aarya actress taking a stroll in the lanes of Switzerland while having a perfect mother-daughter time. “I flew in for 2 days to go meet Alisah…A surprise weekend away from her Boarding School…My happiness was so palpable, Alisah was worried I may not be allowed in Switzerland again!!! I miss you already Alisah,” Sushmita wrote in the caption.
While Sushmita can be seen dressed in an all-black ensemble teamed up with white shoes, her daughter was spotted beating the cold in jeans and a puffer jacket.
Elated fans also took to the comment section and showered love on them.
As Sushmita’s younger daughter continues her studies, her elder daughter, Renee, appears to be preparing to venture into the world of acting, seemingly following in her mother’s footsteps. In a conversation with Instant Bollywood, Sushmita disclosed Renee’s aspirations to pursue acting, affirming, “Taiyaari chaalu hai.”
It is worth mentioning that Renee has already made her acting debut. She worked on a 2021 short film titled Suttabaazi. Besides that, she has also lent her voice to the Mahamrityunjai mantra in Sushmita Sen’s web series Taali. “I am going to make my own shoes and fill them. I am not my mother’s clone, so I don’t want to be a copy of her. We are all individuals, and she always encourages us to be our own person—have our own opinions and share our opinions respectfully without hurting anyone’s sentiments,” Renee told Vogue India in a conversation in 2021.
While Sushmita’s OTT series Taali worked well in her favour last year, the actress was recently seen in Aarya 3: Antim Vaar. The last part of her celebrated show was released on 9 February 2024 on Disney Plus Hotstar. Directed by Ram Madhvani, it also features Ila Arun and Sikander Kher in prominent roles.
