Neha Banerjee successfully passed the IIT entrance exam and secured admission to IIT Kharagpur, where she pursued a B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering.

Neha Banerjee achieved a remarkable feat by securing the 20th rank in the UPSC examination on her very first attempt. After graduating from IIT Kharagpur in 2018, her UPSC mark sheets reflect commendable scores. Neha, now an IAS officer, is poised to dedicate her exceptional work ethic and commitment to serving the nation following her IAS training in Mussoorie.

Born in 1995 in Kolkata, Neha Banerjee attended South Point High School for her early education. She successfully passed the IIT entrance exam and secured admission to IIT Kharagpur, where she pursued a B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering. Following her studies, she worked for two years as an Electrical Engineer at the prestigious multinational company, Adobe.

In 2019, Neha cleared the UPSC exam on her first attempt and secured the prestigious All India 20th rank. She prepared by participating in mock interviews at different coaching centres and making effective use of online resources, especially YouTube.

Reports indicate that Neha’s UPSC interview was a concise 35-minute affair. Currently, Neha holds the position of an IAS officer in the West Bengal cadre and has an active presence on Instagram with 75,000 followers.

In a candid interview, Neha shared her satisfaction with her previous job. Yet, she acknowledged a persistent sense of unfulfillment, with her thoughts focused on the developmental needs of her nation. She was determined to contribute to a robust framework for her country’s growth. Despite the option to explore opportunities abroad, her resolute commitment to serving her nation led her to become an IAS officer.

Neha put her 100 per cent effort into preparing for her UPSC exams. After returning from work, she would wake up early in the morning to study. Her remarkable journey included initial preparations for a second attempt but her success was evident when the results were announced. Her exceptional ability to balance work and studies was commendable, and her blogs for aspiring UPSC candidates add significance to her accomplishments.
