- Teacher Raped Student In Kerala Offers To Drop Home, Rapes Her On The Way

A teacher raped her student at Pattimatam in Ernakulam district of Kerala. The teacher and the student had gone to Kochi to participate in the youth fest. While returning from there, the teacher made the student sit on a scooter on the pretext of dropping her home and stopped at an isolated place on the way and raped her.
The incident took place on the night of 16 November. It is being told that the parents of the victim are very poor. That’s why he didn’t have any arrangement to come and go to the fest. Taking advantage of this, 43-year-old teacher Kiran Karunakaran took him on a scooter.
The police of Hill Palace police station are probing the matter.

The girl told about this to her friends and complained about the incident to the police station. The teacher was absconding since the complaint. Kerala Police has arrested him from Nagercoil in Tamil Nadu. Kochi City DCP S Sasidharan has constituted a special team headed by V Gopakumar of Hill Palace police station to investigate the matter.
The principal and two teachers of the school have also been arrested.
The school administration pressurized the student’s mother to withdraw the complaint.
The school administration tried to hush up the matter. It is alleged that the school principal and two teachers asked the rape victim’s mother to withdraw the complaint. For this, a total of 3 people including the principal and teachers have also been arrested. In protest against the incident, the students of the school have protested in the school.
