Ajay Bisht i.e. Yogi Adityanath was born on 5 June 1972 in Panchur village of Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand. Yogi was only 6 years old when his youngest sister Shashi was born. Like the brother-sister love of a normal family, so was the relationship of Yogi and his sister. Both of them grew up laughing, reading and writing.

Year 1991 came, Shashi got married
Yogi’s sister Shashi turned 21. They were married in Kothar village, 40 km away from Panchur village. Here Yogi joined the Ram Mandir movement. He came in contact with Mahant Avaidyanath. Impressed by him, the Guru took initiation, became his disciple. Now Yogi wanted to be in the service of Avaidyanath.

Avaidyanath said, ‘Come after talking to the family members.’ Yogi came home and said, ‘I will stay in Gorakhpur. I will serve the people. Father Anand Singh Bisht did not understand the son’s point properly, but he agreed. The mother thought that the son was going to work. After a few days it was clear that the son had become a saint, so the family members were worried.

Shashi used to find her brother among the beggars
Shashi, married in a poor house, had made her in-laws’ world her own. One day suddenly he got the news that his elder brother had become a monk. Shashi’s heart sank after hearing the news. Shashi’s condition became such that she started looking for her brother Ajay among the sadhus who came to his village to beg for alms. This cycle continued for many years. That is, until Shashi came to know that his brother had become the Mahant of Gorakshanath Peeth.

started running a small dhaba of flowers, prasad, tea and food
Shashi could not survive by farming and raising buffaloes. Shashi, along with husband Puran Singh Payal, opened a flower and prasad shop near the village’s famous temple of Mata Parvati. About two and a half kilometers away from Shashi’s house is the temple of Neelkanth Mahadev and Mata Parvati. Many travelers come here to have darshan.

There are about 70 shops near the temple, out of which a hut shop is also owned by Shashi. Shashi and her husband walk two and a half kilometers every day to run the shop. In this shop they sell flowers, garlands, prasad and tea. Sometimes travelers also make demands for food, then Shashi also cooks and feeds them for a little extra income. Shashi also has 3 children, two sons and a daughter.

The year 2017 came, suddenly there was a line of media people outside the small shop.
Shashi, who leads a simple life, saw people standing outside her shop with cameras and mics. Asked her husband who are all these. Husband Puran Singh told that Yogi has become the CM of UP. All these media people have come here looking for his sister, want to talk to you, want to congratulate you.

Media people asked, what help is needed from Yogi? The answer was Yogi’s sister
The media asked Shashi, you are living in so much poverty, what help do you want from your CM brother? Shashi said, ‘I am happy with my life. I don’t want any special treatment. He should continue to serve the people and one day become the Prime Minister of the country, that’s all I want.

A journalist asked, since when did you not meet Yogi?
Shashi said, I have not been able to tie Rakhi to her for the last 30 years. I send Rakhi to every Raksha Bandhan, but the answer is not received. The sannyasins have become free from personal relationships due to life. In 2017, Rishikesh, Yamkeshwar and Raiwala had come for campaigning. During this, he had also come to his village Panchur, only then he met him.

They don’t talk much. Just smile and ask how are you? Spend time with children. All they have to say is that work hard, earn and eat. We also believe the same.

Since Yogi became the Chief Minister, many people say that you are not ashamed, you run a tea shop by being the sister of the Chief Minister. Do you live in these conditions? I tell them only one thing, “I am poor, this is my destiny. You should be ashamed when you are doing some dirty work. Taking away someone’s rights. I am making my living by working hard.”

now want to see yogi become prime minister
On Yogi becoming the Chief Minister again, Shashi said, “My wish to see him again become the Chief Minister of UP has been fulfilled. Now I want to see him become the Prime Minister of the country. As long as Modi ji is the PM, stay the same then give your responsibility to Yogi.
