An incident of pelting stones at the newly launched Vande Bharat Express in West Bengal has come to light. It is to be noted that stones were hurled at the semi-high-speed train near Samsi Kumarganj of the Kathia division. Because of the impact of the stones hurled at the train, multiple coaches sustained damage, and the glass of the windows were cracked. During the incident, the passengers present on the train remained safe. Based on the reports, Railways has started an investigation to look into the incident.
Specifically, stones were thrown at coach c-13 of the train when it was on its way to Howrah from New Jalpaiguri.
