The Staff Selection Commission has begun accepting applications for the Stenographer Grade C exam, which is open for recruitment for the years 2020, 2021, and 2022. The deadline to apply for this exam is October 21. Candidates interested and meet the eligibility criteria can submit their application on the website ssc.nic.in.

As per the schedule, candidates can submit their application until October 21, 2023. The computer-based test is expected to take place in February-March 2024, but the commission hasn’t confirmed the exact dates yet.

The Staff Selection Commission is planning to conduct a Limited Departmental Competitive Examination in Delhi, but the specific details and services/cadres for which Grade C Stenographers will be added to the Select List will be announced later.

SSC Stenographer 2023: Vacancy Details

A total of 127 vacant seats will be filled during this recruitment drive for the recruitment years 2020, 134 vacant seats for 2021, and 36 vacant seats for 2022.

SC Stenographer 2023: Educational Qualifications

To meet the educational requirements, candidates need to have passed the 12th grade or an equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

SSC Stenographer 2023: Selection Process

The selection process includes a Computer-Based Examination, a Skill Test, and an evaluation of service records. Once finished filling out the online application, candidates should print and send it, along with the required documents, to the respective Service/Cadre Controlling Authority to “The Regional Director, Staff Selection Commission (Northern Region), Block No.12, C.G.O. Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi 110003” before November 6, 2023.

SSC Stenographer 2023: Exam Pattern

The SSC Stenographer Grade C exam will have three parts: Part A, Part B, and Part C. Part A is a two-hour computer-based test. Part B includes a shorthand skill test with 40 minutes for English and 55 minutes for Hindi. Part C evaluates candidates’ service records.
