Sri Lanka Economic Crisis: Carrying flags, placards thousands continue to protest in Colombo

Thousands of Sri Lankans demonstrated in the country’s main commercial district on Saturday, and Christian clergy marched in the capital, demanding for the country’s debt-ridden president to quit, as fears and fury about shortages grew. Protesters waving national flags and placards, some singing songs about the sufferings, accused President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and his administration of mismanaging the problem. The signs said, “Go home Rajapaksas” and “We demand responsible leadership.”
