Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), one of the most prestigious colleges at the University of Delhi, recently hosted the highly anticipated 2023 edition of Episteme, India’s largest undergraduate finance festival. The three-day event, which took place from April 26 to April 28, proved to be an enormous success, attracting a multitude of students and finance enthusiasts from across the nation.
Episteme’23, organised by the Finance and Investment Cell of SRCC, featured a range of captivating competitions and enlightening speaker sessions. With its reputation as the ultimate platform for finance and investment enthusiasts, the festival drew an impressive number of participants eager to learn, compete, and expand their knowledge in this exciting arena.
Established in 1926, SRCC has gained widespread recognition as the best commerce college in Asia and remains a dream institution for countless commerce aspirants. The Finance and Investment Cell, initiated in 2009, aims to cultivate financial instincts among young minds through regular workshops, events, and collaborations with industry experts. By bridging the gap between pedagogy and practice, the Cell equips students with practical financial skills and knowledge essential for their future careers.
Episteme has firmly established itself as a prominent festival on the academic calendar, attracting participants not only from across India but also from around the world. This year’s edition was no exception, with an astonishing attendance of over 10,000 participants, a testament to the festival’s popularity and prestigious standing in the finance and investment community.
Episteme’23 presented a lineup of six thrilling competitions designed to challenge participants’ skills, knowledge, and expertise in various financial domains. These included “Menace At Metropolis,” a dynamic stock market simulation event that tested participants’ grit, fortitude, and financial acumen. The festival also featured the “Shri Ram Fund Face-Off,” where participants stepped into the shoes of seasoned fund managers, navigating volatile market conditions to generate desired returns for their investors.
In addition, the event offered “Shri Ram Case Cade,” an exciting opportunity for the country’s brightest minds to showcase their problem-solving abilities by analyzing and solving complex business cases. “Shri Ram Policy Battle” provided participants with an intellectually stimulating environment to critically analyze public policies and devise alternate solutions, while the “Shri Ram M&A Championship” allowed participants to gain practical experience in the mergers and acquisitions process.
The festival’s unique competition, “Shri Ram Pitch(a)thon,” challenged participants to think innovatively and develop outside-the-box solutions, simulating the roles of founders, investors, thinkers, and problem solvers simultaneously.
Episteme’23 not only featured engaging competitions but also boasted an impressive lineup of influential speakers who shared their seasoned advice on economic issues and geopolitical dilemmas.
