Sonu Sood: What I could do in the last 2 years, I couldn’t in the last 20 years – Times of India

Sonu Sood won multiple titles as some called him the messiah or Superman of India as he reached out to the masses with help in times of the pandemic. The last two years he says has been a learning experience for him as he touched many hearts and received a lot of love in return. He is happy that what he got in this phase of his life he couldn’t in the past many years.

He elaborates saying, “What I could do in the last two years is important by many folds as compared to what I did for the last 20 years as an actor. I am happy that through the pandemic I could touch thousands of souls. The way you can touch many lives by doing action off screen, woh onscreen action karne se nahi hota. As an actor you shoot for a few days, facing the camera for 8 hours a day. But here I have been reaching out to people 365 days and 24/7. I could connect with them on a more human level and so it was all the more special.”

The love he received for being a savior has also won him fans who appreciate him and look forward to see him in films. In an earlier chat with BT, Sonu had said, “Filmmakers approaching me are offering me subjects that revolve around social issues or a story line of a common man trying to help the country. Earlier, I have played a villain in my South films but now filmmakers are only offering me positive roles. They are like you have been worshiped and liked by people, and if they show me in a negative light in a film they will have to bear the rage of the audience who now can’t see me in that light.”
