When the son started crying, he got down from the bridge.
About half an hour before the Morbi accident, we had reached the Jhulta bridge. We were all having fun, but because of the shaking of the bridge, my little son Netra got scared and started crying. During this we also took selfies. When the son did not stop crying, we got down and went to another place.
It must have been hardly 10 minutes that we got the news of the bridge collapse. When we heard that all the people on the bridge had fallen into the Machhu river, we all got goosebumps because we had seen for ourselves how crowded the bridge was at that time.
Due to the son, the family reached home safely.
Sagarbhai had come to the relative’s place in Morbi
Sagar Bhai further said, ‘Due to Sunday’s holiday, I went to the house of a relative living in Morbi with my wife and both sons. Then our plan was made to roam on the bridge. Two relatives were also together. Only 5 minutes after the accident, we started receiving calls from relatives. It was from him that the news of the bridge collapse was received. The accident happened about 10 minutes after we got off the bridge.
The bridge was opened on 26 October after 6 months of renovation.

Sagar Bhai says that as soon as I got down from the bridge, I shared my selfie on social media. Some relatives had seen it. That’s when he came to know that we were on the suspension bridge. When they got to know about the accident, they immediately started calling us. We will not be able to forget this selfie for the rest of our lives, in which the younger son is seen crying, because of him we are alive today.
