Rahul Gandhi planting paddy with farmers in Sonepat, Haryana
Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi’s visit to Shimla has been postponed due to bad weather. Although Rahul Gandhi had left Delhi for Shimla in the morning. On the way, Rahul Gandhi reached Madina in Sonipat, Haryana and here he planted paddy in the fields with the farmers. During this he also plowed the field by driving a tractor.
During this, Rahul Gandhi also interacted with farmers in Sonipat and had breakfast with them. If party sources are to be believed, Rahul Gandhi was to come to Shimla from Delhi by road, while Sonia Gandhi was scheduled to fly from Delhi to Chandigarh.

Seeing the bad weather, Sonia Gandhi could not reach Chandigarh and she postponed the program of visiting Shimla. Rahul Gandhi has also returned to Delhi from Sonipat itself. It is being told that both the leaders can come to Shimla after the weather clears up.

Priyanka Gandhi has built her house in Chharabra, about 13 km from Shimla. Apart from Priyanka, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi have been coming here many times to celebrate holidays. Even today both the leaders had a program to go to Chharabra via Shimla by 3 pm.
