New Delhi: ‘Roma darling’ plays a pivotal role in the ‘Don’ movie. It’s fair to remark that the movie isn’t quite the same without the spunky character. Zeenat Aman sparked things off, and when Shah Rukh Khan took over, Priyanka Chopra kept the flames going. And now Ranveer Singh is ready to carry on the ‘Don’ name. While we know, he will play the lead role in ‘Don 3’, there have been many rumours about the female protagonist. As Kiara Advani and Kriti Sanon’s names come up, fans are calling for Sobhita Dhulipala to continue the Roma legacy.
Sobhita Dhulipala stated she would love to try out for the role of Roma in ‘Don 3’ during an interview with PTI. She said, “I would be thrilled to (be part of ‘Don 3’). After ‘Made in Heaven 2’ came out, there were so many people who were like, ‘Tara is feisty’ and ‘Tara’s energy is like Roma’s vibe’. So, that comparison was flattering, I love the films. Priyanka was amazing as Roma. Just the prospect that people thought this was a well-suited thing was amazing. I would love to audition for it (‘Don 3’).”
The actress added, “If I sit back and say that I want to do a certain kind of a film… Like, I would love to do a Karan Johar or Farah Khan film. If that opportunity has not naturally happened at that time, I’ll have to figure out what I can do from the opportunities that I can find and choose from and give my 100 per cent.”
After making her debut in 2016 with Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Raman Raghav 2.0’, Sobhita Dhulipala has just returned to her role as wedding planner Tara in the second season of the Prime Video series ‘Made in Heaven’.
