Who was hanging from a rope in the terrible cold at an altitude of 8 thousand meters. Sherpa left the mission in the middle to save him.

Gelja Sherpa said that I postponed the decision to take the clients to Everest so that I could save the life of the trapped climber and bring him down. After this, with the help of a fellow Sherpa, Nagima Tashi, I tied the climber by wrapping him in a sleeping mat.

After this, by carrying on the back for 6 hours and dragging on the snow in between, brought to Camp-3 located at an altitude of 7,162 meters. From there the climber was airlifted by helicopter to the base camp.

More than 8 thousand meters height on Everest i.e. Death Zone… Rescue impossible
The part located at an altitude of more than 8 thousand meters on Mount Everest is called Death Zone, where rescue work is very difficult. There is less oxygen in the atmosphere and it is very difficult to survive there without oxygen support.

Nepal’s Tourism Department official Bigyan Koirala says that rescue of any climber at such a height is impossible. This is a very rare operation. Gelja Sherpa says that saving someone’s life is a bigger task than worshiping in a temple.
