Shark Tank India S2: Namita Thapar Opens Up About ‘Traumatic Experience’ In Personal Life Which

New Delhi: Shark Tank India’s latest episode saw sharks cautiously choosing to invest in businesses and entrepreneurs. In the first pitch by Nutricook cookware, which makes healthy utensils for cooking, sharks appreciated the product but criticised the price point. In fact, in most pitches of the episode, sharks pointed out the high price factor.

The Nutricook pitch was appreciated by the sharks for its product and pitch but the price factor of cookware costing somewhere around Rs. 30k was a big stumbling block for investment. During the pitch, an interesting moment occurred when Anupam Mittal tried to interrupt Vineeta during her deal and Peyush quickly jibed in, “Tum apna chicken khao aur chup ho jao.” This led to a quiet moment on the show.

Ultimately, Vineeta Singh made an offer of 50 lakhs for 10% equity and 50 lakhs debt at 12% interest.

The second pitch was a company which helps married couples conceive through IUI. Their three products impressed the sharks but the high price factor was again an issue. Their pitch also led Namita to share a personal experience of infertility. She shared that she had not spoken about it for 10 years thinking that people will think less of her. But, the ‘traumatic experience’ and the ‘scars’ of the process for the spouse and the woman herself is something people should know of. She also added that society should support more rather than judge and ostracize such people.

The third pitch was by a wellness brand Sikh Styled which created beard and turban products for the Sikh community across the globe. Despite many challenging questions, the founder remained firm in his vision of creating a strong brand in this category and ultimately Peyush Bansal made a conditional offer which was accepted.

Shark Tank India 2 is soon approaching its finale episode. Watch the show from Monday to Friday at 10:00 PM on SonyLIV.
