Karnataka BJP MLA has given an inhuman statement on the question of bringing the body of Karnataka resident Naveen Shekharappa, who lost his life in Ukraine, to India. Arvind Belladi told reporters – A corpse of a dead body occupies the space of 8 to 10 people in the flight. Instead of bringing dead bodies, people can be brought in the plane. Beladi is the MLA of Hubli-Dharwad region. Naveen was a resident of this area.

Naveen Shekharappa’s family is waiting for his body to return to Karnataka. When the journalists questioned Beladi on this, he said – the government is trying to bring back Naveen’s body. Ukraine is a war zone and everyone knows about it. Efforts are on and if possible the body will be brought back. Right now it is very challenging to bring back the living, bringing back the dead will become even more difficult, because the space in which the coffin will be kept, the space can accommodate eight to 10 people.

Naveen’s father Shekharappa Gyanegowda had told that he was assured by the government that his body would be brought home in two days. He had requested PM Modi and Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai to help him bring his son’s body home. 21-year-old Naveen was studying medicine at Kharkiv National Medical University. He was standing in line outside a grocery store when he was killed in Russian shelling on a government building.
