Shalini Pandey Feels Kiara Advani’s Energy In Kabir Singh Was Different From Her In Arjun Reddy: ‘I Believe…’ – News18

Shalini Pandey compares her Arjun Reddy role with Kiara Advani’s Kabir Singh.

Shalini Pandey compared her role of Preethi from Arjun Reddy to Kiara Advani’s role in the Hindi remake Kabir Singh.

Shalini Pandey emerged as a breakout star with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Arjun Reddy. The actress starred opposite Vijay Devarakonda and paved her own path. But Shalini wasn’t a part of the Hindi remake, which saw Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani. The actress recently opened up about her views on Kabir Singh, where she explained how Kiara Advani’s character was different from hers.

Speaking with the Indian Express, Shalini Pandey answered whether she thinks she could have done a better job than Kiara Advani in the remake. She told the publication, “I don’t know. I have never thought of it this way. I took that film as a completely different film. Also, I believe that with two people there are different energies and vibes and also like chemistry, it is different with different people. I don’t have an opinion if I should have been there, or if I would have portrayed it.”

She added, “I have done it and I did it a certain way and that was Preethi for me but what Kiara and Shahid in terms of Kabir Singh would bring to the table would be completely their own and it’s refreshing, different. He (director Sandeep Reddy Vanga) is making the same film but it has two different people coming together and getting a whole new chemistry out there. So, I don’t think I thought of it like that, I enjoyed their chemistry and stance on it.”

After the huge success of Arjun Reddy, Shalini Pandey was a part of several popular films, including 100% Kadhal, Mahanati, 118, Iddari Lokam Okate, and Nishabdham. She was last seen in the Hindi comedy-drama film Jayeshbhai Jordaar alongside Ranveer Singh.

Shalini is currently busy shooting for her upcoming film, Maharaja. The action-adventure drama is written by Bernard Williams and directed by Malhotra P. Siddharth. It also stars Jaideep Ahlawat, Sharvari Wagh, Sameer Paranjape, Reshham Sahaani, and Junaid Khan in the lead roles.
