Shaitaan movie review

The review of the film on ABP Live reads: The film dives straight into the action, setting the stage for some impending chaos right from Madhavan’s entry. Each scene with Madhavan terrorizing Ajay’s family grips you, making it hard to look away. The first half is intense, keeping you on the edge of your seat. However, as Madhavan stays at their house, the film seems to lose its pace, especially in the second half and climax, which feels a bit rushed and underwhelming. Despite that, it still manages to keep you engaged till the end, making it a one-time watch.

Speaking about his villainous avatar in the film, R Madhavan said, “I am very excited about the response that the trailer, and ‘Shaitaan’ are receiving. I did not expect this level of appreciation. We are keeping our fingers crossed for this film. I was offered this film by Kumar Ji (the producer) when I was shooting for a Tamil film in summer last year in Chennai, and he just said, ‘I don’t want to talk to you, this is the film that you are doing’.”

‘Shaitaan’ is said to be a Hindi version of the critically acclaimed Gujarati film ‘Vash’. Jio Studios, Ajay Devgn Ffilms, and Panorama Studios International present the film, which is produced by Ajay, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak, and Abhishek Pathak. Janki Bodiwala is featured in the film as well. The film theatrically released on March 8, 2024.
