Shahid Kapoor didn’t want to hide from his daughter forever so he decided to quit smoking.

Shahid Kapoor quit smoking a few years ago when his daughter Misha was born. He recently appeared on Neha Dhupia’s popular chat show, No Filter Neha, and revealed that he used to hide from his daughter to smoke. The actor said that he gave up his habit as he didn’t want to hide from Misha anymore.

Shahid said, “When I used to smoke, I would hide from my daughter and smoke. That is actually the reason I gave it up; one day, while I was hiding and having my smoke, I told myself that I am not going to do this forever and that is actually the day I decided to quit smoking.”

Shahid Kapoor married Mira Rajput in July 2015. They have two kids, Misha and Zain. Misha Kapoor is seven years old and Zain Kapoor is four years old.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Shahid Kapoor is currently basking in the success of Teri Baaton Mein Uljha Jiya with Kriti Sanon. After registering a decent start at the box office, Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon starrer Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya has crossed Rs 50 crore at the box office.

Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya is a romantic drama which revolves around Shahid, who introduces Kriti to his family, unaware of the fact that the lady he has fallen in love with, is a robot. Recently, Kriti spilt the beans on whether the film will have a part two. On the microblogging site X, formerly known as Twitter, a fan asked Kriti, “When can we expect part 2 #TBMAUJ?” The actress replied, “With All the love pouring in, I’m sure Amit & Aradhana (writers & directors) are compelled to write Part 2 soooonnnn! ❤️.”

Directed by debut directors Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah, the film has a runtime of 143.15 minutes, or 2 hours, 23 minutes, and 15 seconds. It was granted U/A certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).
