Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a public meeting at Nawalgund in Dharwad, Karnataka on Friday. Shah started the speech with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s statement that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was a poisonous snake.
Shah said- Congress President Kharge compares Modi ji with a black snake. Sometimes these Congress people say that Modi, your grave will be dug. Sometimes Sonia Gandhi calls Modi the merchant of death. Congress people have lost their mind. The more you abuse Modi ji, the more the lotus will bloom.
He said that on one side there is Congress party under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi and on the other side there is BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. This election will decide whether the double engine government will take Karnataka forward for the next 5 years or the Congress government will take Karnataka backward.
The Home Minister will also hold public meetings in Gadag, Davangere and Haveri today.
3 main points of Amit Shah’s speech in Dharwad
- Farmers of Karnataka sow jowar. Congress had not bought Jowar on MSP in 70 years. The BJP government bought jowar on MSP and increased the income of the farmers.
- The Congress government with reverse gear can neither do good to the youth, nor to the farmers nor to the Dalits. In Nawalgund, the Congress used sticks and bullets on the farmers.
- Congress gave reservation on the basis of religion. He gave reservation to Muslims, which is unconstitutional. BJP has corrected the mistake of Congress.

Shah said in Shirahatti – BJP has banned cow slaughter
Addressing a public meeting in Shirahatti, Amit Shah said that the Karnataka government of BJP had banned cow slaughter and religious conversion. Shah accused the Congress of insulting Dalits. He said that the Congress always insulted Babasaheb, who made the Constitution. Baba Saheb did not get the Bharat Ratna till the Congress party remained, after leaving the Congress government, Baba Saheb was given the Bharat Ratna.
JP Nadda said that BJP gave additional 2% reservation to SC, Vokkaliga and Lingayat brothers. At the same time, 4% additional reservation was given to the tribal brothers.
Nadda said – Congress will ruin the state
