RAJKOT: Seven people were arrested for allegedly trying to usurp a land parcel on Morbi road in Rajkot.
The police arrested Bhagirath Vala, Hardik Sarviya, Bhagirath Jadeja, Sagar Vagadiya, Lucky Jhala, Harshil Jhala and Vijay Gajera based on a complaint filed by a real estate developer Jignesh Raithatha.
The complainant was developing the land in question along with his partner. The accused had come to the site a few days ago and threatened to halt the work claiming that it was their land.
The accused again came to the site on Tuesday and asked the workers to leave. Following this, Raithatha approached the police and filed a complaint against the accused for trespassing and issuing threats.
